 I heard of the "Radium Girls" but new to the other two books. They look like they will be an interesting read.

A village near me, Sag Harbor, has an old Bulova watch factory that has been closed since after WWII. It is still a Hazardous waste site. They used to do radium dials there, and the ground water around it was contaminated.
