And that's pretty much the point of this. If some feel that they got a good deal on a good watch irregardless of LE numbers, keep them, but if they in any way are unhappy the offer is there for a refund.

I think that sometimes we forget that this is a business based on deadlines. Deadlines that are sometimes hard to keep. When it runs up to the last minute I think that some things aren;t caught that normally would be if they had the time.

Much in the same way car manufacturers put cars out to meet a deadline. Rarely do they come out perfect. There's the old adage... never buy a car in the 1st year of production, let them work the bugs out. My car is a 1st year production for the model it is and believe me... there were plenty of issues that had to be taken care of.

No matter what you buy, you should expect perfection no matter how much or how little you paid. I feel this way, and believe me... Eyal does as well. I think we also tend to forget that most every other manufacturer has the same issues, but you hear less about it. Look when Omega released the Speedmaster Broad Arrow. For the 1st release the chronograph would not work properly on most every piece. Omega chose to do nothing about it until they were inundated with complaints, and then they issued a recall to take care of them all. Look back at the horror stories posted on various forums about the service center for omega USA. How many times have you read "I told you to send it to Bienne!" I bring this up because I am a HUGE Omega fan, but even they mess up.

Look at Breitling forums, Rolex forums, the list goes on. And these are not $139 watches folks.

There's always the cute references to what 3rd world country someone believes Invictas are made in. That's fine, but let me tell you... you would be shocked beyond belief to know where the vast majority of "Swiss watches" are REALLY made. I bet you'd love to know that over 80% of the Swiss watch industry uses China for cases, bracelets, crystals and dials. I'm not revealing something that no one knows about, but many people just don't want to believe it. I recently found out where the case/bracelet/dial of one of my favorite pricey Swiss watches was made... and although I already pretty much knew it, seeing it made me wish I had not spent the thousands I did on it.

It boils down to this though: No matter what you spent, you should ALWAYS get as close to perfection as is possible. Will mistakes happen? Yes. Invicta works hard to produce good quality watches for small prices. People wonder why a big name brand costs so much more? Because if this issue had happened to them, they could chuck all of those case backs, and remake them from scratch. All of this is factored into the price. If the S1 Pro Diver was $1,000 instead of $139 then Invicta could have as well without affecting the price of the watch. This of course is assuming that they could have still met their deadline. They work on very tight margins on most every watch. You could not build the S1 pro Diver in your basement for the cost of the materials. Sure Invicta like eveyone else is in business to profit, but do you really think there is a lot of profit on a watch like that? Especially since Miyota has raised their rpices. What most don;t nkow is that Eyal sucked up the cost hike on the latest Pro Divers so as to not raise prices until 2007. So there is even less profit, and less room to correct costly small mistakes.

I know from speaking to Eyal that QA/QC is a prioroty for him, but unfortunately it s a thing that takes time to work out. Invicta has gotten better, and I hope you noticed that they correct their issues more easily than in the past. more efficiently, and without argument. Are there occasional glitches? (like Mike's PP 7750) YES, but less than in the past.
