while I'm no expert in the history of Magrette, I do recall several years ago that the cases used were shared with the Alpha's. Don't know if there was any truth to it but something about having alpha make cases but never paid up for exclusivity. At the time (back in 2008 or so), it was enough to keep me from purchasing. I've also seen some early Magrette's that were straight up PAM homages with Magrette on the dial (much more than the current ananimo/panerai style). However, I don't see Alpha's with a bronze case so I'm hoping that these might have been produced somewhere else. Also, at least I don't feel so bad with a watch that might end up being a novelty if it was $400 vs 1k+! Have my fingers crossed and I ordred as well (first watch is several years). -Euthymic
