I think the watch yields very good value at the price point. WR is secondary because common sense dictates you don't buy this watch for the purpose of diving or water sports. I think this is a statement watch....the looks of an Italian pedigree, a novel case material from our table of elements and a piece/look to suit your mood for the day or week. Sometime back, I bought a Crux because it was the first watch from Australia ---- and I found that unique---and now the Magrette from New Zealand presents itself. Nice to have in the collection for sure. Oh by the way, I think I shared this before....a sister-in-law of mine in Texas (5 kids of which 4 are boys) has used for the past 10 years a simple ladies' Seiko 5. She's taken it to the pool dozens of times, snorkeling several times, jet skiing, fishing at Cabo and all sorts of activities with her sons in the water. It's ridiculously low WR hasn't been an issue at all in all this time. She's a non WIS and she thought I was smoking dope when I warned her not to use it in the pool ever again again. I can still remember her laughter. Reputable watch companies generally under promise and over deliver on WR.if I owned a watch company of my own, I'd do the same.
