I know that many 3T WIS here share a love and passion for cars and motorcycles, in addition to their passion for timepieces, so I thought I’d post up.  I had a milestone 40th B-Day earlier in the week, and as part of the week long lineup of festivities, my incredible wife lined us up for a “Dream Drive” here in Colorado.  The concept here is that you start out early in the morning with 6 exotic rides and drive them over some of the best driving roads around the Rocky Mountains, switching drivers and cars throughout the day so that by day’s end you have driven every car in the lineup.

The lineup for my dream drive – Corvette Z06, Dodge Viper, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lotus Elise, and Porsche 993 Carrera S2. happy guy.gif

The owner lead the route in a modified Corvette with the primary goal of giving us the best and most fun driving experience possible!!! (and he succeeded on all fronts…this was no Sunday drive, and we got to push the cars very hard keeping in mind that these were public roads and not a sanctioned track).

Btw…my wife was the only female in a group of 3 that actually took the wheel and drove (although she gave me her time in the Viper, Gallardo, and F430 since I just could not seem to get enough of those).  We went through an ultra tricky curvy section of road with the lead Vette, Lotus Elise, and then us in the Porsche 993…by the end of this passage, my wife had left the Lamborghini Gallardo in the dust and had the owner singing the praises of my wife’s driving abilities…damn that girl can drive. thumbsup.gif  We plan to go back and take the F430 out for an hour or so since she didn’t get to drive that one during the day.

An absolute adrenaline filled day from start to finish, and an experience I will never forget.

The Alpina served wrist duty for the day, so here are a few wrist shots and a few other pics of the day:
