The Speedy looks sweet today as always William!!!!
Bummed to hear about the mega-tight focal screws!!!! I haven't had mine off the stock rubber yet, but was thinking about switching things up this weekend...looks like I may be in for a bit of a challenge in getting the screws loose! I always hope that hot water will be enough!
Maybe a longer soak in hot water, another sip of vodka to calm the nerves, hug a baby seal, and then give it another go... hope they come loose!!!
Thanks Chris! The Speedy is a great watch: Really love it!
For the Focal screws, I got the first off with 2 screw-drivers and a bit of force... The second one didn't want: Even when I dipped the lugs in boiled water for 1 mnt. The watch gets too hot if I do longer and allready the screws been suffering marks even with the right screwdrivers...
So it's back in the box: Love is gone for now. I don't understand how can people do that, putting the føcking loctite
I hear you William...that can be frustrating as hell.
I once had to order a new set of lug bars, and then carefully dremel cut the lug bar off of one of mine a while back...and that was after the double screwdriver head-bang, followed by high force with one of those specialized tools that holds one side fixed while you grit your teeth and try to carefully loosen the other side...no love there.
