Hi all,

My first official post (besides my introduction) after receiving my latest addition yesterday: the Artego 300M Diver.

Like I said in my intro, I'm getting a lot of pleasure buying watches from small companies, i.e. boutique brands. They have gained my sympathy because of the way they treat you as a customer: like a king!

After recent experiences with Boschett and Halios, I now have an Artego 300M Diver in my collection, delivered yesterday. For those of you who don't know the brand, Artego started in 2010 by Robert Lex, based in Thailand, produced and shipped from Hong Kong, so Asian all the way. Which is good as my parents come from Indonesia Thumbsup3.gif

They have only produced 2 models: the 300M Diver and the Seaking 2.000M, both are sold out at the moment, I have no idea if there will be another batch. The 300M Diver has been produces in 300 pieces in total: 50 with blue dial, 50 with orange dial and 200 with black dial, mine is a black dial version #38/200.

It is a big watch, with the following specs:

- 45mm diameter, 15,5mm height
- 50mm lug2lug, 24mm lugs
- Sapphire glass with AR coating on the inside
- 268 grams on full s/s bracelet
- Screw down crown, 300M WR
- 120 clicks unidirectional bezel
- Miyota 8215, non-hacking, non-winding, 21.600 bph, 40 hours powerreserve

One of the things I have learned lately is that watches should be 50mm lug2lug max, bigger then that just doesn't feel comfortable, so this is on the limit.

Packaging of the watch is very good, leatherette travel case with room for additional strap or watch.

I took off the bracelet immediately and put it back in the case, switched it for a thick, brown leather strap which makes it more comfortable (only 170 grams.........) and makes it look less cold/toolish

It's a solid watch, everything feels like a toolwatch and looks good, especially if you take the price in consideration. There are some owners who have had a lot of trouble from the moment the watch arrived but I have had no problem so far. Bezel cliks very crisp with no play, crown winds very smooth with excellent grip and lume has been applied generously, it could compete with the legendary Monster

So for now I'm a happy man, let's see how long it will last.......whichone.gif
