The thing about the def. that I always found strange especially after I had some cars restored that had engine turned engines and dashes, is that the processes and tools are totally different. I know the relative time of the original usage and put things on the proper time frame of reference, but when I think of engine turning I think of cars, not the engines of clocks and watches. I guess that is because restoring cars is a hobby and a passion I got from my father.
