), if you are trying to capture the vibe of the PAM 249 then my pick would be to go for the non-Ti Kampfschwimmer on the right (it's the only one I've seen in person, and I still love mine). The vintage lume dial, plus the blued hands, and polished case combined with a dial color that I would describe as 'dark chocolate' (really gorgeous...and pics have a hard time doing it justice IMO...I have some older pics of mine that I'll include but I've been meaning to take some more recent ones), gives off a really nice vibe. In bright sunlight, you will find yourself staring at the dial and trying not to drool on yourself.
The Ti version California has the brighter white lume, gold toned hands, and it does add that really cool sandwich dial on that great looking satin brushed Ti case...hmmm, maybe you should get both!!!
...I have to admit, I've often thought about adding the Ti California version too! 
....heck, I think you've just convinced me that I need to add the Ti to my existing Kampfschwimmer!!!
Anyway...if it is the 249 vibe that you are after, I would go for the polished non-Ti Kampfschwimmer...love mine and have no intent of ever getting rid of it.
