Got this new Obris Morgan Branco Saturday from Marc at Island Watch. Just wanted to try this new model out as I really liked the styling of the watch and the affordable price. It is an impressive watch that comes with two straps, an extra lug bar, and a nicely made presentation box. The leather strap is quite nice, but I don't care for the buckle much. So, I put on a Di-Modell strap that compliments the watch just as well. The case is a 43mm titanium with a flat black PVD coating. The finish on the case is excellent. It has a bit more heft to it than I expected. That might be due to the fact that the screw-in case back is PVD stainless steel rather than titanium. Inside is a basic Miyota 8215 automatic. The strap is secured with screw-in lug bars. I haven't decided if that is a plus or a minus. Using pins is faster (for me), but the screw bars are a nice touch in this price range. The crown is a screw-in and it is offset at 4.00. It works fairly smooth and with no date (hurray!), you just set the time and go. The sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating that matches well with the flat black dial and case. The dial is a sandwich type with C-3 SuperLuminova applied markers. The white hour and minute hands I believe may be C-1, but I am not sure. What I am sure about is that the lume is quite strong after a good charge and stays quite strong for an hour or so. Even after three hours I was very happy with the brightness. I just wish they would have lumed the second hand too. Here are a few quick photos: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
