Hello fellow 3T'ers! I wanted to update you all on the project: We have run an initial group of dials for the 3T project - they are, as we speak, in transit to our assembler - no pictures available - don't mean to tease. Providing that the printing went as planned (i.e. no need to re-do) - please understand that we are at the mercy of our vendors in terms of this timeline, so no yelling or as Mr. Costanza in Seinfeld put it - no "traditional Festivus airing of grievances" until we have a few days time to get this up and ensure that the dials passed "quality control"! I have ordered new ETA movements that are scheduled for delivery early next week to our assembler - probably arriving on the same day as the cases (engraved: 3T/1, 3T/2, etc.) We will be "assembling" roughly 5 at a time until we get larger group orders. The movements come in every ten (10) days to our supplier, so we can always order more as needed. Apart from Oscar's - 3T/1 - there will be 3 or 4 available right away. As many of you who have ordered Orsa "Silver Surfers" are aware, there is a delay in getting our rubber straps. We have placed an order and been informed that this will take about 15 - 17 days (my understanding is that this is "days/days, not business days". Because we do not anticipate the watches being completed until the end of next week (yes we are one week late in our deadline - please accept my apologies), we anticpate that with the exception of the first five watches ordered, we will have the rubber straps in time to ship with the watches. We anticipate that the turn-around time from order to watch shipping will be about 14 days if we are doing 5-6 at a time, and possibly longer if several of you order at the same time. That being said, our goal is to get as many out there to the 3Ters as possible before the holidays officially kick in. A reminder about ordering limits, warranties, etc. One Orsa 3T Sea Angler per customer - Oscar's (and Orsa's) intention was that this was meant to be a special watch for the forum's membership, and as such we do not expect to see them rapidly being flipped within one to two months of delivery. Your Orsa will be numbered to you specifically, as will your warranty. Should you decide to sell your Orsa for any reason, the warranty is not transferable. Your warranty form will say this. There will be NO blank warranty papers given. Each will have a full name of the customer, and the watch number that corresponds to it. There will be copies of warranties with Orsa, as well as with our service center. The service center will also keep a record of any/all service for your Orsa. There will be some special Festivus treats thrown in with your watch - just to keep you interested! Lastly, Oscar has/is organizing an order list, that he will provide me with. For the list, Oscar will ask you for Name, address, telephone, shipping address if different, preferred method of shipping - Fed EX or USPS Next Day. ALL watches will be insured for the full purchase price. We do not want to take any orders until Oscar has received his watch and is judged to be happy with it, so if all goes well, we can start doing so in roughly 7 - 12 "day/days".
