They really started high price on those new Diverscopes even the linear power reserve is a cool unusual feature: Everybody agrees on that.
Still, there's those dress watch models who are really affordable and since the cases, bracelets and movements are made in-house: It's a great alternative to the ETA deals who can't even claim to have them cases made at home.
I bet those Diverscopes will go down in price with the time as well.
And why in-house instead of ETA? Well, even the 2892-2 is a fabulous movement, many of us are ready to pay a high premium for a more exclusive movement...
That's the difference people pay between a Tudor and a Rolex.
Remember the Tudor Pelagos is also selling at 4000+ with a 2824-2 inside.
But nobody trashes it because it's holly Rolex little brother and so it becomes untouchable to many.
There's no point in arguing that a brand who makes 99% of all it's parts itself should have more merit than another one who does only 50%, specially when they sell around the same price.
But if we consider that the cheapest is the best: So my Marathon SAR is winning over the Tudor Black-bay.
