 Seen some pics of those watches open on the net a while ago: Huge plastic ring(mvt holder) , flat battery covering the whole mvt back and nothing special to see when you uncover it.
I would just say: Don't use much money on it.
It's just fancy because the second hand isn't robotized, nothing else.
Soon all quartz will go like that: It's less stressful to look at.
The last school I was visited had big clocks with sweeping second hand as well.
