This statement who appear twice
"..sapphire crystal, a material that is so hard that it will only scratch if it comes into contact with a diamond or another crystal."

And "the only two materials that can scratch crystal are other crystals and diamonds"

Is well known to be rubbish... A sharp stainless steel pointed tool/object or even better in wolframe/tungsten is scratching any sapphire material: Natural or hydrothermal grown.
It's just a question of pressure applied to it and believe me , even a woman can scratch her sapphire ring on a steel drawer corner.
Watch crystals are often getting damaged this way as well as jewelry sapphires.
I would believe that they knew them material better than that, or are they trying to sell it over it's capacities???

But the reading about them factory was interesting.
