 Hi 3T. Just wondering what your experiences are regarding the new Seiko 5 releases....those issued 2009/2010 and up to last month?

I have been very disappointed to say the least. I bought myself several pieces over the past 3 years and gave away some as presents to my WIS brother and to my nephews and most of them just suddenly stopped. After a trip to the watch guy, all watches had main spring or hair spring problems. The Black Monster I gave to my nephew, though not a Seiko 5, suffered the same fate.....sudden death.

I'm starting to think these are now called Seiko 4 (1Day 2Date 3Automatic 4Water Resist. 5Shock Proof... seems to have been forgotten by Seiko.

I have totally given up on Seiko 5 and will not buy one ever again. (Stopped buying since these since 2012)

Any feedback or similar experiences?
