Thanks for the link Kurt, but I think that buying a product just for this would be a waste, as (hopefully) I'll never need it again. I was wondering if there was a particular place (jeweler, electrictian, etc) that might have the equipment necessary to do the job?

Any ideas? I know that Eric Avery has mentioned demagnetizing stuff in the past, but I just don't know where to get it done.
