What I am finding is that in Japan, Hong Kong, and to a certain extent Singapore and Taiwan if the watch is not Mint then it doesn't bring very much.  If it is perfect then it can command Princely sums.  Me, I don't expect a 44 year old watch to be in perfect condition.  Would I like one to be if it were affordable - sure.  Do I expect it, no.
