The Bathysphere 500 case is definitely thinner than the Bathysphere 100 GMT case (which is much "chunkier" on the wrist).
You are asking if the case is really "flat"...due to the case design it looks somewhat flat, but does actually have curvature that follows the curvature of the wrist. It is easily one of my absolute favorite watches for my wrist...really comfortable due to the slightly thinner case. I really like the overall proportions of this one.
I thought the thinner case is the result of the thinner caseback. And I thought the bezel is slightly thinner.
Whats the thickness of the watch ?
Sorry for the late reply Phil. The two cases are actually quite different despite similar styling.
The Bathysphere 500 case is a svelte 11.5mm thick (with both a thinner bezel and thinner case compared to the Bathysphere 100 GMT). The Bathysphere 100 GMT is 15mm thick.
