Today, want to share with you 2 watches that just arrived when their owner no longer has the need for them.
The first timepiece is from 1945 by Girard-Perregaux (left). It is a 14k Rose Gold Keystone Watch Co. Case with Girard-Perregaux Caliber 91. A 17 Jewel hand wound tonneau shaped Rhodium movement with 3 finger bridge with 18,000 vibrations per hour and 35 hour power reserve. New Italian Crocodile strap attached. Glucydur shock resistance with Breguet Overcoil.
This timepiece currently known as the Girard-Perregaux 1945 XL.
The second watch on the right is a 1955 Wyler-Vetta in 36mm diameter stainless steel with 41mm in length. This watch uses the Wyler Caliber 32, a 17 Jewel hand wound movement that is based on the ETA Caliber 1132 with Incabloc. Wyler developed their own escape wheel known as Incaflex, a reinforced spiral at the center of the escape wheel, for greater shock resistance. When combined with the Incabloc system, it allows the watch to be both shock resistance to vertical and horizontal. This 1955 Wyler-Vetta also incorporates a Breguet Overcoil. It was distributed by Luccia Binda (Binda Group) of Italy and Wyler became the New York distributor for Eterna Watches in 1972.
