I would rather go through the effort of designing a movement and have a watch maker come back with revisions than work with the internals of the ETA-VAL some times. You have some very qualified Eng. here and a lot of people with watch exp. so we will get it figured out.
Just off the top of my head Marc the watch seems like it is only winding with the rotor and the stem is just spinning the rotor. It is progressively gotten worse. Moral to the story is Mike did not break it, I do not think, by taking the stem out and reseting it. It is an ETA thing and that happens.
