There you go Phil...very nice with 30cm of snow in one night. If it's going to snow, let it snow with some good accumulation.
Buffalo New York, a long way from here, had some 'lake affect' snow from a single storm approx 2 weeks ago, that dumped 80 inches (203 cm) of snow over a single day...they were getting accumulation of 6 inches (15 cm) per hour! A bit too much snow for sure.
I saw this in the news with Buffalo. Impressive masses of snow. Like you said a bit too much.
Last year we had about 80cm of snow over night.
And that was enough to have some chaos here in Germany.
