But luckily for Ken, his effort was never forgotten, for his was always so prominent among his peers!!!:P:P:P I must say, with total respect (and with one notable exception) that picture is of some very brave men. In that photo is Bandido Charlie's 4th Platoon Sergeant, BC7 - my 1st SGT, BC1 - 1st Platoon Leader, (moi), BC5 - my Executive Officer, my Artillery FO and, finally, BC4 -4th Platoon Leader. The photo was taken at Fire Support Base Riley, south of Lai Kai RVN, 19 APR 1969. The young 1LT (BC1) standing to my right was once a member of the Old Guard that guards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier....a unit discussed by TNY in one of her great TODAY posts. Needless to say, they are not all alive today. ************************* Please consider donating to the: Christmas Troop Fund request......... http://www.timetechtalk.com/view_topic.php?id=4652&forum_id=25 Make your donations/checks payable to: Al Herrera - Bandido Charlie Association or (BCA): Al Herrera 22625 SW Riggs Road Beaverton, Oregon 97007 Any amount, no matter how small, will really be so greatly appreciated.
