Seems even in death we are a bit ambivalent about him. Ford was never elected to office of president or vice president but stepped in as VP after Spiro Agner left office and assumed the presidency after Richard Nixon left office. And there in lies our ambivalence I do think.
I was a bit young soI don't remember much except the pardon of Nixon, "WIN" buttons and Ford getting beat by Jimmy Carter.
One less live president but Ford joins his predecessors...
