Thats the best way to learn how to ride on the street. Motocross is great for learning how to slide a road bike.I rode dirt bikes growing up and also did trials. I have a Yamaha 465 yz for the dirt. Nothing like tearing through fields and creeks, getting air, etc. I have 2 race prepped road bikes. The YZF750SP has been fully modified to 2006 specs. Hopefully I will ride it this year if the neck heals right. My mechanic squeezed 126hp and 56 ftpds of torque out of it on the dyno in october. considering it started at 106hp, thats pretty good. I also got the weight down to 395lbs. in race trim. set for the street it weighs 440lbs.
