| I have the watches I want within my price range .Occasionally however temptation overcomes my better impulses and i will make a purchase.Last night i picked up a watch for approximately $9.00 ( including a new battery)at Walmart. It is base metal with a ss finish.Dimensions are 45 by 45 and 11mm thick including the faux turning bezel with dimpled indentations at the hours. The case is panerai style with a set stem at 4 o clock. ( 5 is impossible)It is 25 mm between the lugs .It has stick hands with a red second hand. Now here comes the parts i would like to change the lume is poor with only the 12 and 6 painted in lume along with the hands all other hour markers are red rectangles with black rectangles between interrupted by white lines for minute markers The rest of the dial is silvertone ( Ok that is not too bad ) What I really would like to change is the oval centered in the midst of the dial with a 60's vintage ford thunderbird inside it and the word thunderbird in bold script above and the ford oval underneath the 12 also there is a large arrow sign in the background..The face itself is 35 mm across. I am sure it will grow on me though.I bought 2 bands for it 22mm for 10 bucks.Twenty four mm bands were awfully expensive and 22 mm works and still looks nice .The band on it now is a light brown speidel leather band with a snake print called Karing snake.I had a few extra holes punched in it so it would fit better and had battery installed in a small pocket watch at the same time.My local jeweler says the t -Bird watch has a good strong movement in it one properly sized for It.
