Mark I think you can file a claim whether insured or not.....you must prove the value and loss which you can do:)...anyways it would prompt the USPS to investigate the claim and more info may be a result in finding out what really happenedhand6.gif...see attached link for claim form...it's worth a try imhowatch2.gif http://www.usps.com/insuranceclaims/welcome.htm
