Steamtown National Historic site is right in town here, it is a museum for steam locomotives located at the old Delaware Lackawanna and Western RR yards. My older son can tell you the names for just about every steam engine wheel arrangement there is. We have been building a model layout in the basement for a few years now loosely based on our area (5 railroads used to serve the coal mines here). He likes my Accutron RR approved (214 back set 1974) so I gave him a Citizen RR Approved quartz. ..........and mine have been on the Grand Canyon train several times as the "Polar Express", climbed on all of the displays and been on several of the old trains that "run" the mountains in Colorado!!! They love trains!
