I'm very aware of what Swiss Made means Doc...please read the sticky in this forum "What Swiss Made Means"hand6.gif Every component besides the final assemby in Switzerland and movement can be Asain ie: case,dial,hands,crystal etc. and still fall under Swiss Made guidelines ...and don't believe the Swiss are that serious :) Swiss guidlines only enforce the minimum requirements...
Swiss watch Only when it is Swiss, may a watch carry the indications "Swiss made" or "Swiss", or any other expression containing the word "Swiss" or its translation, on the outside. According to Section 1a OSM, a watch is considered to be Swiss if:- its movement is Swiss;
- its movement is cased up in Switzerland;
- and the manufacturer carries out the final inspection in Switzerland..

Oscar,
I went to the website. They are a Swiss company and using "Swiss Made" on the dial is regulated under Swiss law. If they put "Swiss Made" on the label and they are doing so in Switzerland they are in for some heavy duty regulatory and Court intervention if the product does not meet the specified criteria under their law. The Swiss take that thing much more seriously than any other country.
Looking at the website they claim to be in Solothurn Switzerland and they label their product as "Swiss Made"? Am I missing something here that would allow them to use more than 49% non-Swiss parts but assemble and finish the whole watch within the confines of Switzerland?
