 I did a side-by-side for a customer who inquired about lume. I took a Nettuno and my Submariner and exposed them to the same amount of light, then, lights out. . . as you both say, within a few minutes the Marcello had declined to a soft glow, while the Sub was going strong. Good Night.

8 hours later, did the same side by side. Now, keep in mind that at this point my eyes are very adapted to the dark, and sensitive to light. The Rolex had subsided to the soft glow that the Nettuno had a few minutes after lights out, and the Nettuno still had a decent glow about it. Discernable, but certainly not a flashlight.

That's my take.
