Friends don't let friends buy quartz!Hey! I love my Zippo quartz watches :P
It was a botched battery change on my Zippo flieger style that got me into this hobby in the first place. My search for an inexpensive mechanical turned me on to Russians...that was 70 some watches ago, heheh.
Ever since that @#$% battery change I do it myself. I bought a good caseback opener from PMWF, gasket grease and a whole load of O-rings. The only watch I wouldn't do myself would be a Seiko Tuna Can (that is if I had a Seiko Tuna Can!)
