 Well you're not alone in your pain... all of us are doing the same, except for Arizona and maybe 1 or 2 others.  They didn't like DST to begin with so they overrode the federal law (which was amended for this change).  And don't forget to apply the registry change to your computer if you are running anything lower than Windows XP, otherwise all sorts of weird things could happen...
