My opinion (such as it is), just get yourself a nice watch box. Put your watches in it and look around for a winder if you feel you really, really need one for two or three auto watches. If they are autos you can hand wind, just set the time, etc. and wind it up when you want to wear it. If you are concerned about keeping the movement in good shape, then wind the autos that sit once a week or so. I have a winder and the ONLY watch I use it for is my Seiko Monster which can't hand wind. When you get as many autos as some of the guys on shown here, then by all means invest in some winders. :)
