Sometimes cheap springbars are insatalled with no lip for the tool. It happens. The best tool won't work. also the bar could be frozen. if theres a lip to grab onto you can see use a flat blade and see if it moves. if it does, just apply pressure and pull one side out. if not, cut it. If theres no room, going to a local jeweler works great. I have all the tools, but every once in awhile, I end up at the jewelers myself. There is no shame in not wanting to scratch your lugs. The jeweler is more than happy to show you how to take it out and install it. Thats the best instruction you can get. They see almost all of the pin and lug designs and are a valuable asset in learning.
