This has pretty much been discussed here for months about Doxas claims and unfolded by JohnnyP and Eric our 3T advisors ...it's no mystery that most Swiss watch companies contain as much as 70% Asian made parts....51% of "cost" and final assembly/inspection is all it takes to be called Swiss Made...remember 51% of the "total cost"....not parts is all it takes to garner "Swiss Made" on the dial....only a handful of Watch manufacturers can claim 100% Swiss Made with all components being Swiss made...that's why Jean Marcel is such a great buy imhohand6.gif I doubt anyone will be unloading their Doxas over this...they are still an Awesome Timepiece and have held their price.....nice thought though Crue!woohoo.gif
I think the real question that is being tip-toed around... is just how much of the Doxa watch is "chinese"? We know the movt' is eta (but then again an eta movt is present in many "replicas"..) and the bracelet is Chinese according to Vargas.... Is the case Chinese as well? We know the Lume is poor quality... so is the Doxa watch really a Chinese Watch with Swiss movt assembled in Europe? Wonder if we will ever know the real answer to that one..
Can't wait to watch the saga unfold... might even be able to pick up a "Doxa" on the cheap soon.. selfishly that would be really cool...
