I truly don't know how to take the Doxa stuff. I read as much as I could at WUS during some of the hubbub. Seems to me that alot of people made good points (Ernies forum, Doxa paid forum, no freedom of speech expected). I don't know any of the Doxa characters involved, frankly don't care. Not a big fan of the style myself, compared style vs. price and always saw something else I liked more.

As far as what has gone on here, I've been taken a bit aback. After the first post or so here by JV, I thought some actual facts might come to light. Then, it hit the fan. The attack on Ken was absolutely ridiculous. The fact that he brought up his (JV's) own military record as some sort of proof of....something suprised me. But then to attack someone else's was beyond any excuse.

Ken, I probably haven't said it before, but I think you know that I have nothing but the utmost admiration for you, and anyone else who served our country in uniform. The service you fulfilled in Vietnam was probably amongst the most difficult any of the men or women in uniform going back in time have ever had to serve. For that you have my gratitude and respect. If JV has served as he indicated, I respect him for that. But for that only. To attack someone else's record cannot be excused.

Well. That all being said, this is the internet. I can't get too emotionally charged about something that doesn't really effect me in any way, shape, or form. I don't own a Doxa, more than likely never will. Not because of what I've read, but because I don't like the style personally. I really think this isn't over, one way or the other, and I look forward to reading the next installation.

Take care all, and for those who weren't personally attacked, and have no financial stake in this at all, I wish you well. For those who do have a personal or financial stake, I hope this hasn't hurt you too much.

I now conclude the longest post I've typed out in probably 2 or 3 years..happy1.gif
