 Muhle looks nice.  Anders at Gnomon has an M VI Chronometer in silver or black for $1,680.  Very tempting.

Just read somewhere on WUS that someone was spreading a rumor that Lindburgh & Benson (Schaumburg) timepieces were produced in China.  I, personally, have a hard time believing this, but want to be absolutely, 100%, sure that I'm shelling out close to $2,000 for a genuine German-made watch.
