I have an Invicta Ocean Ghost II containing a Miyota 8215 movement with the dreaded film under the crystal problem. So, I opened it up to get rid of it. I didn't have any problem locating the watch stem removal button. I removed the entire movement and face of the watch with no problem. I cleaned the back side of the crystal and replaced the movement in the watch case. I then inserted the watch stem back into the side of the movement until it clicked back into place.
This is the problem. I can wind the watch, but I cannot set the time or the date. What have I done wrong? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
