While Titanium has a larger tactile strength than steel at a lower weight, the surface of typical Titanium alloys is softer and it scratches or dings more easily than most steel alloys.

There are variations too, depending on the alloy. I have different watches with different Titanium Aloys (Citizen, Breitling, Omega, Marcello) and they all seem to be just a little different and more or less prone to scratches.

Nevertheless, you can brush up Titanium just like steel and within a day or so the surface will develop the oxyde again, leaving it to look just like new.

Either way, I love how the Titanium feels on the skin, even on the hottest or coldest days. :)

Cheers
