Out of the shortlist given it's #1 - the RT. Must look even better on a black strap. About the others: The watches on bracelet disqualify themselves - because strictly speaking a dress watch is on a leather strap (regardless what certain product placement in movies like 007 tries to teach us). The Invicta - noooo, crown too flimsy and it's an Invicta. Picture looks like an awkward computer graphic. The Seiko and the Bulova: Have no flair, no class, are - just 3-hand watches. For further consideration, a short market research produced the 2 following, completely different watches (price and design): Arbutus Automatic "Accolade" Rose Gold Dress Watch #AR0052MF $149.- @ IslandWatch (well inside your budget) At 41 mm diameter nearly too large and 15 mm thickness actually too thick to be a dress watch, but this one somehow has class ![]() Nomos Orion Alpha Black Sapphire Back NG-009 $1,560.- @ Watchbuys (far out of budget - but this would be my personal #1) Just 35 mm diameter and only 6 mm thin - this is a true dress watch ![]() Last edited on Fri Jun 8th, 2007 09:31 am by cnmark |
