Personally, I think it really depends on what the woman likes. For instance, my mom and I have the same type of wrist. She likes small (22mm) watches where I like bigger watches (38mm+). Also, it depends on the size of the woman. I think that a thin girl wearing anything more than a 38mm would seem monstrous but a larger woman wearing a tiny watch would look just as funny.
As for wearing it with an evening gown, not many women wear anything but jewels when they wear an evening gown BUT if they did...I would imagine they would wear something similar to what a man would wear if he was in a tuxedo. A watch that looked elegant, I wouldn't imagine a woman walking around with a diver watch on though.
I agree....and it also depends on the style or "dress" of the moment. What goes with an evening gown orwhat goes with a business suit is different thatn what goes with jeans and a sweater (for example..a large diver MAY go very well with that)...I'll have to differ to tny, our resident fashion guru!!!!
