I agree with Oscar. Also, I think this price increase is a load of “who ha” and it smells like the mid 70’s fake gas shortage which was used to falsely increase the price of gas. For me I think this 30-40% increase will scare away some of the small collectors who my buy an Omega, Doxa type watch once in awhile. Now 10-15% is more manageable and I think is more in line with reality. Only time will tell, sales numbers will show if they made the right decision and if they were wrong look for some price slashing/sales at your neighborhood jeweler. Just my 2 cents.
