That's the truth....but the fact is higher the loft the farther the ball carries!hand6.gif In all of todays golf tips it is known that using a 9.5 degree driver is not for guys like us...non pros...we do not have the swing speed to handle a 9.5 degree driver that most pros use and I have only met a few guys who are even close to being called "Pros".........many on the senior tour are all using 11 degree and higher same w/ most all pros 35 yrs old and up..........I have plenty of strentgh but I know my swing has slowed...try going into a batting cage and see what you can hit :D I am driving the ball on average now 300 to 340 yds and straighter than ever...from 285 using my 10 degree R7.........so I don't care if the Sumo Sweet 16 is referred to as an old mans club:D:P KenC wrote: Hmmmmmm...never saw a Driver with more than 12 dgrees of loft (except the old TM Fairway Driver at 13). Still using a Cleveland Launcher 360 9 1/2 degree driver but re shafted with the Graffaloy Graphite BLUE 55 gram, tip soft...reshafted my Cleveland TI 3W with he same shaft. Changed from Callaway Big Bertha 97 Irons with the graphite F shaft to Taylor Made RAC CGB Graphite tip soft M shaft. Knocked about 10 strokes off my game...so I told the Club pro to shove his lessons...cause it ain't the swing...it's the equipment. Still using my original custom Scotty Cameron Newport putter (although I did send it back to Titlist last summer for refinishing!
