I was referring to Greggers conotation to Old Mans club:D it has been in the upper 80's to low 90's here without any rain in some time so the courses have been not as fast or forgiving as usual unless they are watering the heck out of them:P I agree anything that will improve ones game is a plus....but even the best equipment suitable to one's self still needs to be practiced on a consistent basis in order to get any consistancy....there is no Magic club in my bag :D:D the other day on a par 3 over water 90 yds. to a green w/ the flag in the front on a triny green surrounded by obstacles I did a "Tin Cup"....6 balls off the tee until I finally stuck it pin high...the rest were in the drink or a drop....luckily no one was behind us...but it felt good to just stick one :D Wasn't knocking it...just have never seen it...and yes, more loft equals more carry (and usually, much less side spin if hit off center).  I hit a fairly high ball to begin with with, and it has nothing to do with "old man"...hell, I use senior flex shafts.  It just was strange to me as my 3-wood is 15 degree.  Another difference is that you are probably playing greener (wetter) courses which means a lower trajectory will not get the same "release" as on the harder fairways out hear.  To me, it doesn't matter what clubs you play, as long as you get the results you want!

That said, I would kill to be able to hit a straight 280 drive on a consistant basis.

Hell I turn 48 this yr so maybe I should try that bad boy!!!!! I play a 10.5 degree Callaway now so maybe a change would be all goodsmile8.gif
