Thanks to the heads up from Oscar and Tony I grabbed the Invicta S1 Roman Square for a song off slopnbc. Oscar says this is an SW200 done well, and I have nothing with the movement in my collection so hello Roman Square.

I was a bit leery given the recent woes some  poor souls are encountering with the "high end" Invictas with the SW200s in them. I would guess the problems are due to sloppy rushed assembly. I can tell you they took their sweet ass time with this watch. Looked the watch over, wound and set it and I am still wearing it which says a lot as i removed my Ball Fireman to put it on. The movement seems to operate well when setting, the date flips neatly and the watch runs smoothly.

As far as design, this is an outright homage which is fine. Big, bold and one that draws attention... damn near snapped my wife's neck when she saw it!! A ton of presence and quite comfy with the curved case.

Not a bad 26mm strap but I may be looking to dress this up. I might need suggestions because I am so strap illiterate. I love Tony's ostrich!!

Many thanks to Oscar and Tony for the recon. Great watch for a little dough!! Invicta can't seem to get their act together when charging upwards of a grand for a watch but sure can pump out some inexpensive gems. Thanks for taking a look.

Hey Tony, looks like we were snapping shots about the same time a time zone apart...toon1.gif
