Anthony, a lot of members here and elsewhere have gotten into watch collecting by starting with Invicta. Most started several years back (5-6 years) when Invicta's quality control was up to the level of their sales. They built a reputation on the 8926 and 9937 dive style watches. Then they hit a home run with a fashion watch called the Lupah and they haven't quite been the same since. I'm sure you have read some of the horror stories so I won't repeat any.

I owned quite a few Invictas when I was getting into this "hobby" and I still have eight or so. Invicta can be a natural starting point. Other brands such a Orient, and Seiko will offer you greater bang for the buck while you dive into the world of watches. Thanks for your post and I hope you continue to post your thoughts.
