There was a posting earlier about whether Doxa should have a cheaper model SUB. Well here is the one I made. I made it quite some time ago when there was only the SUB 300T reissue and my wife wanted an orange Doxa. It's based on the case of the SUB 250T. I had a dial made up with the US Divers logo and called it the SUB 300T Seafire. After the Mrs. got her 600T she never wore it. My nephew saw it and fell in love with it so she gave it to him for his 18th birthday. It had the old NOS ETA 2452 movement which ran like a bag of spanners. It gave him all sorts of problems (I also think he dropped the watch), so I took it back and set about rejeuvenmating it. First was a heart transplant with an ETA 2824. Next was a change of hands to something more akin to the standard SUB hands but on steriods. Next a bezel repaint and finally a Seiko bracelet with pushbutton clasp. I ground of the Seiko name and gave it all a mild polish to closer match the polished case. And here she is all ready to back to Ireland and my nephew. Hell, it looks so good I'm tempted to keep it. The only thing I have noticed is that the luminous bezel dot I made is a bit too green. I think I'll change it to a white lume one to match the hands.

As the title says. This is the $500 SUB Doxa never (but should have) made.
