 I'll say ditto on buy what you like.  One of my favorites is a Seiko quartz chronograph, the SNA225.  It is nicely finished for the price, and the alarm movement can be used as that or a second time zone.  Plus the chrono hand moves in 1/5 sec steps that mimic a mechanical, cool :D
Most of my watches now are autos or hand crankers, but I have a watch box full of quartz that are my go to's when I am in a hurry and don't have time to set an auto, or when I have a gig and I use my G-Shock (I play drums).
