Having started visiting this here forum last July, I've noticed the cloud of 'irony' surrounding the Renato make of fine timepieces. Now, I had never heard of Renato as a watch company. Renato was just an Italian (mostly from center and south) name. Usually those who have that name (which means re-born in Latin), both the males and females (Renata) are gregarious and friendly, but they are not especially known for any achievements in punctuality or chronographic abilities. Those are best left to people with names like Ugo, Ike, Ng, which take less than a second to pronounce. So, I ask you the experts: what on earth is this watch company Renato and why is it the target of such ironic (and actually quite funny) remarks? And what of Invicta (meaning 'undefeated'), what am I missing about that there watch maker? I leave you the podium
