Sounds like a total line of bull to me and anyone who charges more than $10 max to change a battery is robbing you. Most places I do business with charge $5 and I have had some do it for free in the past just because the watch was one that had never held before. Should be a 2 to 5 minute job or less.

But that is another reason I have been going away from standard quartz.
