 No, I don't think so.  I wouldn't buy any watch I wasn't interested in.  If, on the other hand, it was a watch that was compelling to me....  I might use the numbered piece to justify it in my own mind and that of my wife.

  coyote2.gifAll kidding aside it's completely secondary to actually liking the watch in the first place.
